Description from the seller

BRAL
Sheet-metal airplane
Breda Ba.39
Made in Italy

*****
Old 1930s-40s

Breda Ba.39
sheet-metal airplane,
wingspan 45 cm
length 34 cm
The Breda 39 was an aircraft used for sport and tourism
monoplane with a low wing of semi-cantilever design
with radial engine
Colombo S63 (130 HP)
Maximum speed: 222 km/h
First flight: 1932

Manufacturer: BRAL – made in Italy

In 1902 Roberto Braglia opened a small workshop in Milan for production, among other things, of toys
In 1935 his son Arnaldo, succeeding his father, left the cramped Via Sarpi workshop to move the company to a larger site.
He then had a fortunate intuition, to capitalize on the popular enthusiasm (well supported by the regime of the time) for the aviation ventures of those years.
He thus produced a series of fairly faithful reproductions of aircraft of the Regia Aeronautica in model kits with more than respectable results.
But the real turning point was the start of producing the “Costruttore Meccanico”, i.e., the first Italian version of the universally known English “Meccano”,
The success was not lacking also because it was national production in competition with the English one, at that time not looked upon favorably
In that same year 1952 BRAL also entered the electric train market
In the 1960s the factory closed
tracked shipment

Seller's Story

Cose Senza Tempo is a piccola gallery d'arte and di oggetti of contemporary design and vintage. La nostra curiosità ci porta a scoprire semper oggetti unici dal sapore antico. It is important to know that there is a possibility of the identity of the eyes of the person.
