Antique Theatre Lorgnette Binoculars in Mother-of-Pearl and Brass - Iris Paris - c. 1900
Of refined French workmanship, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century (Belle Époque era).
Made in finely worked gilded brass, with elegant genuine mother-of-pearl (nacre) in luminous iridescent hues, present on both the optical barrels and the long extendable and articulating handle.
On the oculars there is the engraved mark "IRIS PARIS", a famous Paris optical brand of the era, a guarantee of quality and artisanal craftsmanship from across the Alps.
Origin: France (Paris)
Era: Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century (ca. 1890 – 1910)
Materials: Gilded brass, natural mother-of-pearl (nacre)
Marks / Engravings: "IRIS PARIS" engraved around the oculars
Features: Orientable and extendable side handle (lorgnette grip), central mechanical wheel for focusing, foldable joint mechanism.

Conditions:
Excellent conservational condition for age. Shows a pleasant natural patina on the gilded brass. The mother-of-pearl is well preserved, without evident cracks. The focusing wheel mechanism and the handle joint are smooth and functional. Lenses intact and clear.
