Bronze Buddha in Dhyana Mudra (Shakyamuni/Amitabha) in a meditative seated pose, 22 cm high and 14.5 cm wide, dating to the 20th century, in good original condition with aged gray-green copper patina and remnants of lacquer gold.

Bronze with old lacquer-gold finish (Shakyamuni / Amitabha) in a meditation pose
Bronze. Originally with lacquer-gold (Nijin) and red ground, today heavily patinated and flaking, dark copper patina visible.
Iconography: Typical Han-Chinese Buddha form. Snail curls, high ushnisha. Hands in Dhyana Mudra (meditation posture) in front of the abdomen, full lotus position (Padmasana). Garment with wide folds (double over-robe), flows into a heavy, flat base edge (no separate lotus pedestal).
H 22 cm, B 14.5 cm
Condition: Signs of aging, with natural gray-green copper oxidation, no Vajra engraving (unlike Tibetan pieces).
