artigianato muranese - Perfume bottle - Double Reticello glass

Refined and elegant vintage perfume bottle / atomizer in authentic Murano art glass, dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950s-1960s). The piece bears no engraved signatures, but shows all the execution details and the superb quality typical of the prestigious Venetian furnaces of the era (in the style of Archimede Seguso or Barovier & Toso).

Body and Cap: Entirely handmade using the complex and prestigious decorative technique of Reticello Filigree in white (double reticello). The milk-white threads cross impeccably, creating a dense geometric honeycomb network, enriched by the typical and fascinating micro-bubbles trapped at the intersection points. The weave is perfectly symmetrical on both the bottle body and the pointed coordinated cap.

Base: Circular base in transparent glass enriched by a rich inclusion of 24kt gold dust/gold leaf applied hot.
Artisanal authenticity: Under the base and on the lower terminal of the cap is clearly visible the characteristic pontello mark, a scar left by the withdrawal of the blowpipe that certifies entirely handmade, mouth-blown manufacturing.
