Moser & Söhne - Dish - Glass

August Walther founded his glassworks in 1888 at Ottendorf-Okrilla near Dresden, and called it August Walther & Sohne AG. They produced a wide range of table ware and ornamental glass, and they are best known for their art deco figurines and designs from the 1930s. Walther merged with Saxonian Glass company in 1932 and became "Sachsische Glasfabrik August Walther and Sohne AG".

On offer here is the Arabella dish as listed in their 1934 catalogue. Further items were available to make up a set as you pleased.

The dish features a gorgeous soft pink colour and an elegant fish-shaped design, making it a particularly charming and unusual piece of vintage pressed glass. Its distinctive Art Deco styling makes it equally appealing as a collector’s piece or as a decorative addition to an elegant interior.

The condition is very good, with the piece presenting beautifully for its age.
