Description from the seller
Soundmachine / Ghettoblaster Philips D8514, Spatial Stereo Receiver.
In good original condition and use, no technical faults or omissions, shows a few light signs of wear and stains, see the detailed photos.
Tested, functional with power cable.
An absolute classic of early 1980s audio design, made in Austria. Known for its robustness and sound quality, this premium model from the brand sports a decidedly retro look with its metallic front, large speakers, and numerous aluminum chrome knobs.
It is equipped with the famous "4-Way Speaker System" with two 17 cm woofers coupled to horn tweeters. Four-band receiver (FM Stereo / SW / MW / LW) with a VU-meter LED signal indicator. Cassette deck, tape selector compatible with Metal, CrO2 and Normal cassettes, with a mechanical 3-digit counter. Independent rotary knobs for Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble, and Spatial mode.
Connections: Microphone input, front headphone jack (6.35 mm), rear inputs/outputs for external sources. Power supply for mains (220V) or portable via batteries (8x R20).
Beautiful overall cosmetic condition for its age (see photos). The front and screen printing are well preserved despite some wear on the plastic. The telescopic antenna is present and complete.
Protected shipping and packaging; the detailed photos are part of the full description.
