The Pioneer SA-500A is a legendary transistor amplifier and is the improved successor to the original SA-500.
Known for its warm musical sound and solid build quality.
Uses a capacitor-coupled output circuit, which produces a warm sound very close to the tones of vacuum-tube amplifiers.
Produced in Japan between 1972 and 1974.
Specifications:
Output power: 2 x 18 watts into 4Ω.
Total harmonic distortion (THD): 0.5%.
Damping factor: 40 (at 8Ω).
Dimensions: 330 x 120 x 320 mm.
Equipped with an excellent Phono (MM) input for 2 turntables.
Analog inputs: Phono 1 and 2, Tuner, and Tape 1 and 2.
Tone controls: Bass, Treble, Balance, loudness and stereo/mono select.
Speakers: A and B.
Speaker terminals suitable for banana plugs and screw terminals.
