Steam engine (2) - Mamod - Cast brass, Iron - 1940-1950 - Momod steam engine

This is a beautiful vintage stationary toy steam engine from the well-known British brand Mamod. On the nameplate on the side the brand name "Mamod" and the text "Made in England" are clearly visible.

Given the construction of the model – with a copper or brass boiler, the characteristic perforated red base plate and the flywheel at the front – this is very likely a Mamod Minor or a model from the early SE/SP series (such as the Mamod SE1 or SP1), produced in the mid-20th century (often around the 1950s to the 1970s).

This kind of mechanical toy worked on real steam by heating water in the boiler with a small burner (usually based on spirit or solid fuel tablets) under the housing.

My grandfather had seven boys and two girls, so toys were always fine; later we as grandchildren played with it, after my grandfather passed away I got this, but now that I am getting older and want to move to a smaller place I am slowly clearing out some stuff.
