Description from the seller
Beautiful specimen of Calcite on Fluorite from Balochistan, Pakistan, particularly interesting for the association of the two minerals and for its strong response to UV light.
Calcite forms a rich crystallization of light color, with crystals of varying sizes and shapes that cover a large part of the specimen. Among these stand out the Fluorite crystals, darker and easily recognizable for their cubic morphology, creating a pleasing contrast with the Calcite.
The Fluorite fluorescence is particularly beautiful, intense and well localized on the crystals.
The dedicated photographs show the response to a UV torch even with normal ambient lighting on and without the use of photographic filters.
A specimen of modest size but very dramatic, interesting both in natural light and under UV illumination.
Origin: Balochistan, Pakistan
Weight: 660 g
Dimensions: 11 × 9 × 8 cm
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
Colors may vary slightly depending on the device used to view the images.
The intensity and hue of the fluorescence can vary depending on the type of UV lamp used.
