Dish with lid: Blue Saxony motif, characteristic white-blue floral and sprig pattern with scalloped edges. Oval dish with 2 elegant side handles and a decorative handle on the lid for serving vegetables or soup. The dish bears a blue hand-painted number applied by the porcelain painter and specific to the period between 1880 and 1920. An impressed blind mark with the number 8 indicates the model. Jäger Eisenberg or Rauenstein (Thuringia, Germany) are known for this marking method.
