Description from the seller

An antique French mantel clock in the Napoléon III style. The clock is made of samac and alabaster, not the original gilding; on the clock sits a standing woman who has harvested grain, and in her right hand she holds a sickle. The clock is still in an entirely original state; no parts removed or glued, with slight age spots. This clock is offered as not running. The movement has a broken spring; the striking mechanism works, but the pendulum is not original. The movement is by Japy Frères & Cie, 1860/1880. This lot will be carefully packed and shipped with PostNL.
