Wooden carved and gilded mirror, Isabelline style, circa 1920 - Spain

Extraordinary mirror in the Isabelline style, made in the early 20th century in Spain. Rectangular format with a vertical disposition, it presents a wide wooden frame carved and gilded, articulated by successive moldings that enclose the mirror and acquire greater ornamental development at the corners and in the upper finish. The decoration combines rocaille motifs, leaves, flowers and vegetal scrolls, organized around a composition with a strongly historicist character.

The most outstanding element is the top crest, conceived as a perforated structure of curved and intertwining forms that develops symmetrically from a large central shell or nautilus. From it, scrolls, leaves and floral motifs emanate to both sides and connect with the ornaments located at the ends of the frame. The corners also feature a higher-relief carving, with curved cartouches, leaves and vegetal elements that emphasize the transition between the different sides of the molding.

Shipping terms

The shipping cost indicated by the platform is for guidance only. Due to the characteristics of some pieces, especially large or heavy ones or those requiring special packaging, the actual transport cost may differ from the platform’s estimate.

Shipping will be arranged directly with the buyer once the auction ends. The buyer expressly agrees, by placing a bid, to assume the full transport cost of the awarded piece.

The final shipping amount will be calculated based on the dimensions, weight, declared value and destination of the goods. Quotes from specialized transport companies will be requested and provided, selecting the most appropriate option to ensure the piece's safety during transport.

Shipping will be carried out under Incoterms DAP (Delivered At Place). The shipping costs will include, when necessary, custom-made professional packaging, protective materials, logistics management, shipment tracking and transport warranty.

We will act with complete transparency in determining costs, providing the buyer with the quotes and invoices from the transport companies. No hidden charges or surcharges unrelated to the real packaging and transport costs will be applied.

By participating in the auction and being awarded the lot, the buyer agrees to these shipping conditions and commits to paying the transportation costs corresponding to the piece’s characteristics and final destination.
