Important pair of monumental candelabra from 1780-1820 in solid gilt bronze (16 kg) finely chased with 5 light sources each, for a total of 10.
Sought-after and important pair of high-manufacture candelabra made in solid gilt bronze, finely chased with historical mercury gilding, characterized by richly Baroque decoration with scrolls, acanthus leaves, grape clusters, floral elements and mythological figures, five of which support the candle holders.
The structure of each individual candelabrum features a substantial central shaft, richly engraved, and five gracefully curved arms, supported by a pierced triangular base with ornamental feet and mythological animal feet, indicative of an artisanal workmanship of the highest level.
The bronze chasing is entirely done by hand with great depth and precision, a quality now rare to find on the market.
