Neo-Rococo Style
oval solid-silver sauce boat with double spout and side handles, signed by the famous French silversmith François Labat. This piece of silverware from the late 19th / early 20th century testifies to a high-quality craftsmanship. Rocaille / Louis XV, adorned with rich relief chasing depicting floral motifs, sprawling foliage and wave motifs. • Architecture: Symmetrical nacelle-shaped form resting on an oval moulded foot with water-leaf decorations. The side handles elegantly follow the piece's curve. • Hallmarks: Silversmith's mark François Labat and Minerve 1st title guarantee mark (950/1000) present. • Condition: Excellent overall condition, very handsome shine, chasing perfectly clear.
