DESCRIPTION
The smc PENTAX-DA 40mm F2.8 Limited is one of the smallest autofocus lenses ever made — barely 15mm deep and 90g — yet it belongs to Pentax's Limited line, machined from solid aluminium and finished to a standard normally reserved for far larger lenses. On an APS-C body it gives a 61mm equivalent, a natural short-portrait length, and it is prized for crisp rendering with smooth, unfussy bokeh. It turns a DSLR into something close to a compact camera, which is exactly why the Limited pancakes have kept their following.
