Description from the seller
A-2300SX – Stereo Reel-to-Reel Recorder (Vintage)
The TEAC A-2300SX is a reference stereo reel-to-reel recorder from 1970s Japanese production, designed with criteria of high mechanical stability and high-fidelity analog playback. Appreciated by audiophiles and collectors, it represents one of the most successful examples of TEAC’s construction philosophy in the consumer/semipro segment of the era.
The model uses a three-motor transport system, with precise tape tension control and separation of recording, playback and erase functions via dedicated heads. The mechanical construction is solid, with a rigid chassis and an internal layout designed to reduce vibrations and run-away instability.
Condition of the specimen
This particular unit presents itself in excellent cosmetic condition, kept for a long time exclusively on static display (showcase) and used in an extremely limited manner.
Very well-preserved aesthetics, with no obvious signs of wear
Front panel, knobs and VU meters in generally excellent condition
No apparent modification or tampering
Mechanical parts in order and functioning normally during tests performed
Functionality
The unit has been tested and is functional in the main operating functions:
Play
Fast Forward
Rewind
Recording
Important note
The device is supplied without a power cord, as it has been preserved exclusively as a display piece. For this reason the cable is not included in the original equipment.
