Piece type: Pedestal centerpiece / decorative fruit bowl on a stand with side handles and a carved plinth. 27 cm high

Style: Decorative eclecticism inspired by Neoclassical / Neobaroque (Vintage / Retro). The angel/cupids figures with bow and arrow (putti) are a classic motif very common in ornamental pieces from the mid to late 20th century.

Materials and manufacture

Main vessel: Glazed ceramic. It features a iridescent finish (mother-of-pearl or nacre-like) on the interior, crackled red/bordeaux glaze on the exterior, floral decorations by decal/ceramic screen printed and vitrified glaze, and a silver-painted/foil edge.

Structure and pedestal: Cast metal in brass mold, zinc alloy.

Assembly: Joined by a central threaded rod and nuts (visible on the lower base), with through-bolts that attach the handles to the ceramic structure.

Estimated period: Second half of the 20th century (approximately between the 1960s and 1980s).
