Description from the seller
Elegant antique host chair for the head of the table in dark wood, stylistically linked to the English taste of the 19th century, particularly the Victorian era. The frame features a characteristic rounded back with openwork, with soft, wraparound lines, enhanced at the bottom by a central carved element with ornamental motifs. The armrests follow a sinuous contour and are completed by padded arm supports, upholstered in the same yellow fabric as the seat. The latter, wide and contoured, features a floral and botanical upholstery in tonal shades, finished along the edge with a row of decorative studs. The front turned legs display intricate workmanship with bulbous and molded elements, while the rear legs continue with a more linear flow from the backrest structure. The wood presents a warm brown finish, with some signs and traces of use visible, coherent with the age and use of the piece. An elegant and decorative chair, ideal as a capotavola at a classical dining room or as a single seat for studies, entrances and spaces with traditional taste.
