Beautiful fully rigged three-masted sailboat model, named "La Coquille" on its carved and decorated stern (gold/white motifs, fleur-de-lis). La Coquille is the name of a famous French Navy corvette, used notably during the Duperrey scientific expedition (1822-1825) around the world — a name rich in maritime history.
The model features meticulous rigging work: tarred and furled sails, shrouds, yards, lifeboats, anchor, and substantial deck artillery.
