Umbrella stand in hammered brass with geometric relief decoration from Europe, dating to the 1930s–1940s, 43 cm high and 21 cm in diameter, showing patina and minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Umbrella stand / cane holder in repoussé brass with geometric decoration – ca. 1920-1940
The piece features a cylindrical body completely decorated with successive rows of raised square motifs, each topped with a small central depression.
The top is finished with a frieze of semispherical motifs and a wide circular mouth, slightly flared. The base, also circular and widened, provides stability to the whole.
The surface retains an attractive patina acquired over time, with different tones in the metal and superficial oxidations visible especially in the recessed areas of the decoration. These signs of use and age contribute to the character of the piece.
Dimensions:
Height: 43 cm
Maximum diameter: 21 cm
Material: brass
Proposed period: first half of the 20th century, ca. 1920-1940
Author / manufacturer: not identified
Condition: good considering its age and use. It shows patina, oxidation, small marks, scratches and superficial wear typical of the passage of time. In the detail photographs you can observe the tonal variations and oxidation present at different points of the decoration and the upper edge.
A heavy polishing has not been performed, so it preserves its aged appearance and patina.
Note: The photographs are an integral part of the description; it is recommended to review them carefully to appreciate the condition and details.
The item will be shipped by courier with tracking number, preferably with delivery to a pickup point or locker if possible.
The buyer assumes import requirements and any additional costs unrelated to the seller, including possible surcharges on shipments to islands.
