Vintage Junghans wooden tabletop clock – Germany, 1930s–1950s

Splendid desk clock (mantel or desk model) produced by the famous German manufacturer Junghans, dating from the 1930s to the early 1950s. Made with a shaped wooden case and warm finish, it features a circular dial with gilded Arabic numerals, a brass bezel, and the Junghans logo with an eight-pointed star. On the dial is visible the marking “FOREIGN” at 6 o'clock, typical of models intended for export to the Anglo-Saxon market. Manual-wind original mechanism, complete with hands and domed glass.
