Antique cup and saucer set from the English manufactory Crown Devon Fieldings. Complete set of 5 pieces, high-gloss finish. The cups are suitable for both tea and espresso coffee.
Crown Devon Pottery began operating as S. Fielding & Co. Simon Fielding took over the Railway Works in Stoke-on-Trent in 1878, where he started producing ceramics. From 1921 the name Crown Devon was introduced. The Crown Devon name became synonymous with high quality.
The cup and saucer are decorated with a rich cobalt color. The cup has a luxurious gilded interior and handle, and the saucer has a gilded edge. This is an elegant, striking Art Deco piece. Approximate age: 1930–1940. Patent number 3247.
In very good condition, with minor signs of use. Photos are an integral part of the description.
Dimensions: cup height 5.7 cm, diameter 6.5 cm, capacity 80 ml; saucer diameter 12.2 cm.
