Italian-language first edition, signed by Roberto Koch, presenting Russia’s Moments, a photobook of 124 pages with 72 colour photographs and some black-and-white images, in a softcover with dust jacket by PelitiAssociati, published in 1990 and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Exceptionally signed on the title page by Roberto Koch (born 1955), unique and unavailable on the internet in a signed copy. 124 pages and 72 color photographs as well as a few black-and-white photographs, all with dated captions, Italian foreword by Goffredo Fofi and postface by Yuri Dimiytovic Cernicenko. Paperback edition with a cover illustration and an identically illustrated dust jacket. In excellent condition, practically like new.
These photographs were taken mainly toward the end of the 1980s and show the events that shook power in the USSR and across the countries of Eastern Europe, and reveal certain aspects of daily life in the country. "Whether it is celebrations or demonstrations, rites or tensions, rock or church, the intimacy of individuals or the public or social classes, centrality or marginality, his images do not arise by chance: .." (Goffredo Fofi).
Roberto Koch studied electronic engineering and began a career as a photojournalist in 1978, collaborating with major Italian and international newspapers (Epoca, Repubblica, Stern, Time, Newsweek, Life, etc.). In 1979 he created the photographic agency Contrasto and published various books from 1981 onward. In ten years of activity Roberto Koch produced 35 internationally oriented reports before dedicating himself to curating exhibitions and editing. In 1999 Contrasto became a publishing house active in the photography sector, publishing numerous books by Gianni Berengo Gardin, Ferdinando Scianna, Piergiorgio Branzi, Nino Migliori and many other photographers. Parallel to publishing, Roberto Koch developed a program of photographic exhibitions in central Milan.
Exemplar in excellent condition, practically like new, a book from my personal collection kept with the greatest care. Protected shipping with reinforced packaging and guaranteed international tracking. In case of multiple purchases, there is a possibility of grouped shipping with a refund of any excess postage paid via PayPal.
