Een uitzonderlijk fraai bewaard gebleven exemplaar van de zilveren gulden geslagen voor Nederlands-Indië in het jaar 1839. Deze munt werd geproduceerd onder het bewind van Koning Willem I in de Rijksmunt te Utrecht. Terwijl veel koloniale munten uit deze periode zware circulatieslijtage vertonen door hun intensieve gebruik in de tropen, bevindt dit specifieke stuk zich in een verzamelwaardige conditie die zelden op de markt komt.
De munt is gegradeerd als XF/AU (Prachtig tot Bijna FDC). De details in het koninklijk portret en de leeuw in het wapenschild zijn haarscherp gebleven. Een bijzonder kenmerk van dit exemplaar is de aanwezigheid van de originele muntglans, die een zijdeachtige reflectie geeft op de velden van de munt.
