Maxell - MX 60 Metal Position (Type IV) Blank audio cassette

A complete collector’s lot of ten matching Maxell MX 60 blank audio cassettes, presented in the original Maxell ×10 display box.

Made in Japan during the 1980s, the MX 60 belongs to Maxell’s premium Metal Position (Type IV) range. Each cassette offers 60 minutes of recording time (30 minutes per side) and is specified for Metal bias with 70 μs EQ. The packaging highlights Maxell’s “Super Stabilized Pure Metal Cassette” formulation, designed for extra-wide dynamic range and low distortion.

All ten cassettes remain factory sealed and unused. This is a complete matching set with its original ×10 outer box, rather than a collection of loose or mixed tapes. Retail price labels remain attached to the individual packages.

The sealed cassette packages are in well-preserved condition, with only minor age-related wrinkling or storage marks to the wrapping. The original outer box shows visible age-related wear, including scuffs, creases, edge and corner wear, surface marks, and damage around the opening on the top panel. The underside also shows storage marks. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an essential part of the condition description.

To preserve their original sealed condition, the tapes have not been opened or tested. Due to the age of this vintage magnetic media, recording performance cannot be guaranteed.
