Rug - 350 cm - 250 cm - Hand-knotted Indo-Bidjar

Hand-knotted Indo-Bidjar Oriental rug from India in the classic Herati/Bidjar pattern.
The rug is hand-knotted and, in my estimation, consists of a wool pile on a cotton foundation. The fringes are cotton and are part of the base weave.
The densely worked pattern shows the floral Herati motifs typical of the Bidjar style in strong red, dark blue, cream, green, and brown tones.
Dimensions: approx. 350 x 250 cm
Area: approx. 8.75 m².
The rug is in good used condition with signs of age and wear. The fringes show some wear; see detail photos. No major damage known to me.
