Enamel advertising sign '読売新聞申込所' (Yomiuri Shimbun subscription desk), Japan - Enamel sign - Enamel, Steel

Small, vertical enamel advertising board in yellow with at the top a red-and-white circular logo, and below the text "讀賒新聞申込所" in black kanji, which means "Registration Point Yomiuri Shimbun," a reference to the well-known Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun. The board is made of metal with a glossy enamel coating.
The dimensions are 75 x 15 cm.

The board is in used, vintage condition. Light signs of wear and small chips are visible along the edges, appropriate to the age and material. The bright yellow color and the black text are still clearly legible.

This narrow enamel advertising board, due to its striking color scheme and the link with a well-known Japanese newspaper, is a atmospheric eye-catching piece for enthusiasts of Japanese advertising and enamel collectibles.
