Special original Polistil Tondo G10 film projector, designed by Giulio Lurani Cernuschi and produced in Italy from 1969.

The Tondo is a characteristic example of Italian Space Age design from the late 1960s. The striking bulbous shape evokes a space helmet, satellite or capsule, and today the projector is not only interesting as a film device but also as a decorative collectible for enthusiasts of Italian design.

The bulbous housing can be opened, revealing the projection mechanism. The projector is designed for 8 mm and Super 8 film.

This specimen is finished in a striking green and white color scheme.

De Tondo is een karakteristiek voorbeeld van Italiaans Space Age-design uit de late jaren 1960. De opvallende bolvorm doet denken aan een ruimtehelm, satelliet of capsule en maakt de projector tegenwoordig niet alleen interessant als filmapparaat, maar ook als decoratief verzamelobject voor liefhebbers van Italiaans design.
