Description from the seller

Title
Decanter/Art Bottle Archimede Seguso in Murano glass with 24 K gold, early 80s
(Label 037)
Text
Refined decorative decanter in precious Murano glass blown in ribbed shape, entirely handmade by the famous Archimede Seguso furnace. The pear-shaped body, in finely ribbed transparent glass, is topped by a magnificent hot-sculpted wooden-like cap, featuring elegant naturalistic leaf forms in shades of blue and crystal. The cap is enriched on its inside with a hot application of 24-karat gold leaf submerged, which gives splendid warm golden reflections to the light. The object is my exclusive property (single-owner), personally purchased in the early 80s (circa 1981-1983) at the historic showroom of the Luci Group - La Murrina of Olgiate Comasco, where I used to work as an employee. On the body of the object is perfectly preserved the original transparent label of the Murano Glass Consortium (brand introduced in 1981) bearing the official factory code 037, which certifies and guarantees direct attribution to the Archimede Seguso furnace. A piece of high-end Murano design and craftsmanship history. It presents in excellent vintage condition, perfectly intact, with no chips, cracks or restorations. Clean and well preserved with the utmost care.
Dimensional details:
Total height 26.5 cm
Maximum diameter 10.5 cm
Base diameter 6 cm
Mouth opening 3.5 cm
Weight 407 g
