Description from the seller
Splendid and imposing antique-style table or shelf clock, made in the mid-20th century by the prestigious Dutch brand Wuba (Warmink) — as confirmed by the original label and crest applied inside the rear small door — and signed John Thomas London on the dial.
Materials:
Case: Wooden structure finished with fine burl veneer (mahogany / walnut tone).
Decorative elements: High-quality bronze and cast brass for the top carrying handle, the distinctive pinnacles at the roof corners, the refined caryatids/mascheroni applied to the sides of the front, and the small feet.
Dial and details: Countermade metal and brass, with silvered sections and a decorated moon phase disk.
Side inserts: Side windows with pierced wooden grilles and fabric lining.
Condition (aesthetic): Good overall condition, with normal and light signs of wear on the wooden case in keeping with the era.
Mechanical condition (ATTENTION): The clock is not functioning. Although the mainspring winds up regularly during winding, the mechanism does not start or keep movement. It is explicitly sold as needing repair or servicing by experts or clock enthusiasts.
