Vintage ceiling light fixture made of pressed glass – geometric relief – circa 60s/70s

A characterful vintage ceiling light with a heavy, clear glass shade and a striking geometric relief. The globe-shaped shade is entirely composed of diamond-shaped and pyramid facets, causing the light to refract beautifully and creating lively patterns on the walls and ceiling all around.

The thick shade is made of pressed glass and has the characteristic sculptural look of lighting from the 60s and 70s. The transparent glass pairs excellently with the simple dark ceiling mount, making the design both decorative and timeless.

When the lamp is on, the many facets come beautifully to life. The glass spreads a warm, atmospheric light, while the relief creates a splendid play of reflections. Due to its compact, low-profile design, this ceiling light is particularly suitable for a hallway, bedroom, landing, toilet, or a space with a lower ceiling.

Condition

The ceiling light is in nice vintage condition with minor signs of use and aging. Small scratches, dust particles and production-related irregularities may be visible on and in the glass. At the edge there are some small superficial signs of wear.

The lamp is photographed while functioning. Due to its age, we recommend having the electrical connection checked by a qualified professional before installation.
