The extended frequency range in the discrete amplifiers is achieved thanks to Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT) and a high-current power supply for all six channels. The sound quality is improved by using thick copper strips for the mass connections instead of the usual copper traces on a circuit board. The TX-SR501E has a five-step filter adjustable from 60 to 150 Hz, which perfectly adapts the subwoofer crossover frequency to a wide range of speakers. As an extra, there is the "Easy Set" speaker configuration and the color-coded inputs and outputs that make installation extremely simple.
