Our Samarkand rugs take their name from a traditional trading center in the Orient—the city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan. Samarkand rugs are hand-knotted in fine craftsmanship with about 350,000 knots per m2 and promise very high quality.

Today, Samarkand rugs stand for exceptional quality and modern, oriental-inspired patterns. The wool used is of high quality, and the color palette is softer and more subtle than those of classic Oriental rugs. The shorter pile makes the rug easier to keep clean.
