Masque Deangle - Dan Bassa - Côte d'Ivoire

Very beautiful example of a Dan Bassa mask. The oval, curved face around the eyes. Very fine sculptural quality. The rounded forehead is, for its part, decorated with striped motifs of the most striking effect.
The wear on the prominent lines reveals the natural wood tone beneath the dark patina, polished overall.
The small beard is still present.
