Old JEP train set in lithographed tin, French-made, dating approximately from the late 1930s to the 1950s.
The set includes a blue streamlined mechanical locomotive marked SNCF and JEP, accompanied by its matching tender.
The set is completed by three vintage lithographed tin coaches:
* a green and yellow SNCF Pullman coach,
* a red postal van marked “Paris – Post and Telegraphs – Mailbox – SNCF”,
* a gray SNCF van with a yellow roof.
The small cars measure about 13 cm in length.
Also included is a set of JEP curved metal rails, gauge O, about 35 mm, as well as the original box bearing the label “Trains JEP – real trains in miniature.”
The locomotive has its spring mechanism and runs with its key.
Old set preserved in its original condition, with signs of wear, small scratches, marks of aging and lithographic wear compatible with its age. The box shows tears, deformations and old repairs visible in the photographs.
A fine collection piece representative of French JEP production before and after the war.
