Religious objects - Wood - 1850-1900

A sketch/model as a template for a larger sculpture(s).
Wood, very finely carved for a bozzetto and mounted on a new wooden board.
This panel was covered with blue velvet and decorated at the upper edge with a very elaborate original Baroque wooden ornament.
A rare depiction of three saints in very good quality.
Rear attribution to the sculptor “Jakob van der Auwera” which could also fit.
Germany, Würzburg, circa 1800.
The object comes from an old collection of a former restoration workshop.
