Grande carafe zoomorphe vintage en forme de canard, produite par Silea en France, datant des années 1970.
The body is made of thick transparent glass, molded with a stylized pattern reminiscent of the bird’s plumage. The head, beak, handle, tail and base are made of silvered metal.
The head forms a hinged lid allowing the carafe to be opened, while the long beak serves as a pourer. The curved handle features an elegant twisted decoration and the tail is adorned with a relief feather motif.
The piece rests on a circular, knurled base in silvered metal.
The underside bears the original cartouche “SILEA,” confirming the manufacturer.
This type of zoomorphic carafe is characteristic of French decorative creations by Silea in the 1970s and today represents a sought-after item for vintage barware and animal-design collections.
Dimensions:
Height: approx. 27.5 cm
Length: approx. 31 cm
Width: approx. 10 cm
Weight: approx. 794 g
Condition: good vintage overall. Signs of use, superficial scratches and patina/tarnish on the silvered metal compatible with age. The glass appears complete with no significant cracks visible in the photographs. The hinged lid and decorative elements are present.
The detailed photographs are an integral part of the description.
