K&W Siegerist Bern - Tin box - Blik - Large Art Deco tin.

A large-format Art Deco tin, measuring nearly 30 cm in length, about 25 cm in width and 16.5 cm in height.
Manufactured by K&W Siegerist from Bern (Switzerland) between roughly 1920 and 1930, a well-known producer of various tins at the time. Executed in Art Deco style, with a beautiful geometric design featuring a diagonal arrangement in the colors red, blue, gold and light blue.
With a hinged lid.

The offered tin has rarity value.

The tin is in good condition for tins around 100 years old: a lid that closes well and no structural problems. However there are a few dents in the lid, which, if desired, could be relatively easily repaired. The original decoration has, as is usual for such tins, the inevitable damage and wear; but that also lends a special charm of use to these old tins. The colors have generally remained fresh.
