This hand-knotted Kashmir rug from India was made with a fine silk pile on a cotton warp. The light central field features an exceptional floral garden design with a large rosette medallion built from numerous sweeping boteh shapes.

Four stylized green cypresses, large palmettes, fine flowers, and sweeping tendrils surround the central motif, giving the composition remarkable depth. The dark main border is adorned with floral ornaments in old rose, light blue, green, and cream, forming a contrasting frame.

The characteristic sheen of silk and the harmonious pastel color palette give the rug an elegant and refined appearance. Its versatile size makes it ideal for living and sleeping areas, work spaces, or as a decorative focal point.
