Two ambrotypes of wealthy men, ninth plate, 6.4 x 5.1 cm, case 7.2 x 6 cm

1. Photo of a man with a book, in reasonable condition and in a case, inside lined with red velvet. The clasp works, some scratches on the case; the left edge of the case is coming loose, since the lid has been loose before it has been reinforced with brown tape on the spine

2. Ambrotype of a man with his arm resting on a railing. No lid, the frame is dull, the protective plate in the photo is not present, cardboard has been used before, scratches on the back of the case

N.B., the white specks on the photos are not on the ambrotype, but are dust particles.
