Walking stick - w/ monogram - .925 silver - London 1913 - Edwardian

The elegantly curved horn handle, displaying attractive natural colour and figuring, above a slender wooden shaft, mounted with a sterling silver collar finely engraved with scrolling foliate decoration and a period monogram. The collar is struck with London hallmarks for 1913; the maker’s mark is indistinct. The cane terminates in a dark metal ferrule.

In very good antique condition, with light wear consistent with age and use. The silver collar is particularly well preserved, retaining crisp engraved decoration and showing no notable dents or deformation, with only minor
surface marks and an attractive natural patina.

The horn handle is well preserved, displaying natural variations in tone and texture characteristic of the material. The wooden shaft shows occasional light marks and age-related wear, while the lower ferrule displays expected wear from use. Overall, a well-preserved and elegant example of an English silver-mounted horn-handled walking cane from the early 20th century.
