Rare Russian icon with a gold background, in good condition, anti-termite treatment already carried out, depicting four scenes: at the top left, The Mother of God, placation of afflicted hearts; at the top right, The Mother of God, unexpected joy; at the bottom left, The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist; at the bottom right, Three Saints, a Hierarchy of the Church, depicting the Fathers of the Orthodox Church. In the center of the icon a medallion enclosing the Guardian Angel in regal attire, a protective figure. Generous dimensions of the icon: 45 x 38 cm. Excellent gold background.
