Description from the seller
Collection comprising 60 illustrated postcards dedicated to human anatomy, medicine and the scientific study of the body.
The lot includes a wide variety of subjects: the heart, brain, skeleton, musculature, circulatory system, internal organs, eye, hands and feet, together with compositions inspired by traditional anatomical plates.
The illustrations feature muted colours, sepia tones and historical-style graphics reminiscent of early medical atlases and scientific collections. Together they form a visually coherent series suitable for collecting, display, or decorating studies, libraries and distinctive interiors.
The date, artist, publisher and provenance have not been established. The postcards are therefore offered as undated material, without attribution to a specific period.
Overall condition is as documented in the photographs. The lot contains exactly 60 postcards. The photographs show the actual items included and form an integral part of the description.
