This Art Deco crystal glass vase by Karl Palda, originating from Haida in what is now the Czech Republic, dating to 1930–1940, is approximately 24 cm high, 12 cm at the base and 8 cm at the top, multicoloured with blue and black accents, signed Haida Palda with Czechoslovakia noted on the base, and in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, weighing about 2.43 kg.
Description from the seller
This crystal glass vase stands out for its decoration that uses geometric motifs such as semicircles, rectangles, and etched lines.
The firm Karl Palda from Czechoslovakia was based in Haida (now Novy Bor) in North Bohemia.
Palda was the foremost pioneer of geometric decorations as well as of the unorthodox shapes of vases, which is clearly the case with this model. Therefore this specimen also fits excellently in a modern interior.
This special model was decorated with blue and black colors as well as with matte semicircles and rectangles.
At the bottom the vase is signed (see photo) with Haida and below it Palda; the country of origin is also listed as Czechoslovakia and the date 1933.
The vase is approximately 24 cm tall, at the top 8 cm wide and at the bottom about 12 cm; at the top the depth is 6 cm and at the bottom 8 cm.
The total weight is about 2.43 kg.
Shipping method: insured postal parcel, shipped only within the European Union.
