Luca Strati was born in Reggio Calabria in 1981, a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, with a predilection for sculpture.
His artistic path began early; the son of the Reggio-born painter Mario Strati, he soon developed a passion for drawing and painting with comic-book and artistic character. He attended the International School of Comics in Florence from 1995 to 1997, pursuing classical artistic studies in parallel. He studies at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts.
He works as a freelance illustrator, concept designer and sculptor. He was the author of some artworks for the Italian fanzine dedicated to Iron Maiden.
In 2013 he began teaching anatomy and painting techniques at the International Comics School in Jesi, now renamed ACCA ACADEMY.
In 2022 the Tarot Steampunk Art Nouveau, published by Scarabeo, were released; he worked as a concept artist for Kimera Models and as a cover artist for Heavy Metal, Dynamite Comics, Zenescope, Bad Bug Media, Mount Olympus Comics, Laguna Studios, Obscure Comics, Space Between Entertainment.
He illustrated four decks, Marvel and DC, for Upper Deck Company.
