Porsche - 996 Carrera 4S - 2004

TECHNICAL & MECHANICAL CONDITION:

This Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is powered by the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six engine producing 320 PS, combined with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox and Porsche’s permanent four-wheel-drive system.

An important point with this particular car is that the original engine was replaced at approximately 190,000 kilometers with a genuine Porsche Austauschmotor. An Austauschmotor is a Porsche replacement or exchange engine supplied through the Porsche network, rather than simply a locally rebuilt original engine. This is an important distinction and a significant part of the mechanical history of the car.

The car has now covered 320,014 kilometers in total and runs and drives well. The gearbox shifts properly and the car retains its original 6-speed manual transmission.

As a Carrera 4S, the car combines the naturally aspirated Carrera engine with permanent four-wheel drive and Porsche Stability Management (PSM). EXTERIOR & BODYWORK:

The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features the characteristic wide-body design of the 996 Carrera 4S.

The Carrera 4S uses bodywork closely related to the 996 Turbo, including the wider rear wings and more muscular stance. Unlike the Turbo, however, it retains the naturally aspirated Carrera engine. This combination has made the 996 Carrera 4S one of the most recognisable models within the 996 range.

At the rear, the Carrera 4S is immediately recognisable by the red reflector strip running between the rear lights, a design detail that gives the car a visual connection to earlier four-wheel-drive Porsche 911 models.
The car is equipped with the correct 18-inch Porsche Turbo Look II-style alloy wheels. Combined with the wide body, these give the Carrera 4S a substantially more aggressive appearance than a standard narrow-body Carrera.

Factory exterior equipment includes electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, rear window wiper, Park Distance Control and a windscreen with a darker tinted upper section.

The car presents well overall. There is some damage to the lower front spoiler lip which could be replaced to improve the appearance of the front of the car. Also the car has some signs of use.

INTERIOR:

The interior is finished in black leather, creating a classic combination with the Arctic Silver Metallic exterior.
Both the driver and passenger are provided with electrically adjustable comfort seats. The front and rear seats are leather upholstered, and the rear seat backrests can be folded individually.

The car is equipped with the original three-spoke Porsche airbag steering wheel, air conditioning, onboard computer and electric windows.

The original Porsche PCM2 system is fitted, including radio, telephone preparation and PCM2 navigation. A Porsche CD changer and factory sound package are also included.

Further equipment includes an anti-theft system with alarm siren and tilt sensor, driver and passenger airbags and side airbags.

The cabin remains largely in its original Porsche specification, which suits the character of the car particularly well.

DOCUMENTATION:

This Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 3.6, produced on 13 May 2004 for model year 2004.
And was newly delivered in Belgium. The car will be delivered with it’s original books and the service book stamped as well as the invoice of the current Austauschmotor bought at Porsche.

Introduced for model year 2002, the Carrera 4S took many of the visual characteristics of the 996 Turbo and combined them with Porsche’s naturally aspirated 3.6-litre Carrera engine.
