The Taylor Model 171A Electronic Test Meter is a classic piece of vintage test equipment manufactured by Taylor Electrical Instruments Ltd. in Slough, England, during the 1950s.
It was highly regarded in its era as an advanced diagnostic tool for radio and television servicing.
In a great condition, Bench tested on primary functioning, no problems detected.
Technical Overview & DesignCircuit Type:
It uses a self-balancing double-triode bridge circuit (valve/vacuum tube-based). This design provides a very high input impedance, preventing the meter from loading down sensitive circuits during testing.
AC/RF Probe: The instrument features a detachable miniature double-diode probe, specifically engineered for accurate radio-frequency (RF) and alternating current (AC) measurements directly inside electronic chassis
Functionality: Operating as a Vacuum Tube Voltmeter (VTVM), it measures DC voltage, AC voltage, and resistance (ohms) across wide frequency ranges.
