Refined sculpture "Goddess Guanyin with Koi Carp" – Arnaldo Giannelli – Statue in silver sheet (40g) with gold details – Italy, secondhalf of the 20th century
Splendid and elegant Oriental art sculpture depicting the deity Guanyin (or Kannon), who cradles a Koi carp to the chest with a protective and loving stance, a symbol of prosperity, courage, and good fortune.
The work signed by the esteemed master sculptor Arnaldo Giannelli (Volterra, Tuscany), renowned for his refined artistic production.
The figure is made of resin coated with a thick silver plating (as indicated by the hallmark GR. 40, denoting the use of 40 grams of silver), enriched with elegant gold-plated decorations on the collar, the kimono sleeves, and on the carp figure.
The piece is completed by a solid circular resin base finished in burgundy red, creating a perfect chromatic contrast in full Oriental style.
