Dining table of design, plausibly datable to the Eighties, without marks, signatures or labels visible that would allow a definite attribution to a specific manufacturer or designer.

The table is characterized by a wide circular transparent glass top, which leaves fully visible the underlying structure, conceived not as a simple functional support, but as a true architectural and compositional element of the object.

The base is made of black-painted metal, with an articulated and balanced geometry, composed of linear elements, vertical columns, curved joints and diagonal rods that intersect with one another, generating a dynamic, light and sculptural composition. The transparency of the glass top allows the design of the structure to be fully read, making the table interesting from multiple viewpoints.

A distinctive feature of the project is the semicircular leather-inset. This detail introduces a warm and refined material component, in contrast with the glass transparency and with the stark mark of the black metal. The inset gives the table a strong formal recognizability and a particularly interesting stage presence.

The design language recalls Italian design research from the late seventies to the eighties, a period when structure, function, geometry and material dialogue directly, giving rise to domestic objects with a strong visual identity and an almost architectural character.

The table presents itself in overall good condition, as visible in the photographs. There are two light chips along the edge of the glass top, of modest extent, which do not compromise the functionality or the overall aesthetics of the piece. The metal structure appears stable and consistent with the piece’s age.

The table stands out for its compositional quality, proportional balance and attention to detail, resulting in a furnishings piece with a strong visual impact, suitable both for contemporary domestic contexts and for interiors with a vintage, collecting, or gallery-focused taste.
