Large cabinet specimen from the famous Aquaresi Mine in Sardinia, one of the classic Italian localities for fine calcite specimens.

The piece features several large, translucent pale honey-yellow calcite crystals prominently set on a matrix completely covered by smaller white to colorless calcite crystals. The contrast between the large central crystals and the sparkling drusy matrix gives the specimen a very attractive, sculptural appearance.

A fine and representative specimen from a historic Sardinian locality, increasingly appreciated among collectors of classic Italian minerals.
